  1. I've just added Share This to my wordpress blog, followed directions... In the Options configuration, I have set "Automatically add ShareThis to your pages?" to NO -- but the Share This is showing up at the top of every page. I don't want it to be there!

You can see it here: www.trishatorrey.com

With that function set to NO, it also means it doesn't show up on the archives posts, or other blog pages. I do want it to show up on those other pages.

The only way to remove the Share This from the top of every page is to deactivate the plug in -- and I don't want to do that. It's a great plug in because it also allows email.

How can I get it to stop showing up at the top of every page?

    Thanks for your help. Trisha

  2. Hi Trisha,

This is a problem with some themes. It seems that in some cases the ShareThis widget code gets injected outside of the <head> tags. You may be able to resolve this by looking through your Main Index to see if errant widget code was placed within the body of your document.

I received your email on this as well, and I will contact our WordPress experts on this case.

We'll do everything we can to get this solved for you.

I'm having the same issue with my blog (www.wykleville.com). I'm using the Structure theme( http://justintadlock.com/archives/2007/12/09/structure-wordpress-theme). This is the first widget that I've had this type of issue. Please help...I won't be able to use ShareThis if I can not figure out this problem.

  4. I recommend to desactivate the WordPress plugin and put the generated JS code directly where you want it to be in your WP theme.

    cheers

  5. I deactivated the Plugin after seeing this issue and switched the generated JS Code. I'd prefer to use the plugin though as the JS doesn't seem to generate links right if button is used from the main page. (Uses homepage URL instead of post URL) So as of right now I've put the JS Code on the Single Posts Page.

  6. I am having trouble getting Share This widget to show up on our WordPress blog. It seemed to work earlier, but now does not. I've done everything I can think of. It all seems to be installed and activated correctly.

    Here is the blog site:

  7. Hello,

Do you currently have the plugin activated on your site?
