  1. I'm a design student with an interest in web design and development, so my blog is completely hand-coded to further my understanding of the mechanics behind web pages. I've been looking to syndicate, which drew me to ShareThis. The problem is, I do not understand the Javascript that accompanies the button. I've read all the information on the ShareThis site... but still no go.

I'm wondering what tag displays what information when you share across sites like Facebook and MySpace. What tag displays the title of the post? Which one the thumbnail?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Sean,

You can acquire the widget query string from http://sharethis.com/publisher?type=stapi from the widget configuration tool. Insert this query string into the <head> of the document you want ShareThis to appear. Then you can use the SHARETHIS.addEntry code into the body wherever you'd like to create a SHARETHIS button. For more information on our API , you can check out http://support.sharethis.com/developers .
