When I upgraded to the current release of ShareThis, I figured there was no harm in keeping the <code>span</code>, so I had this:</p> <p><code>&lt;span class=&quot;sharelink&quot;&gt;&lt;?php if (function_exists(&#39;sharethis_button&#39;)) { sharethis_button(); } ?&gt;&lt;/span&gt;</code></p> <p>What I didn't realize is that javascript for the new ShareThis generates its own <code>span</code> around the link, so I had a <code>span</code> within a <code>span</code>, which appeared to be causing the constraint when viewed in Safari.</p> <p>The solution was to remove the original enclosing <code>span</code>, leaving me with just the template tag, and to use my stylesheet to apply <code>float: right;</code> to <code>a.stbutton</code> .</p> <p>I hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue!</p> <p><strong>Update:</strong> Never mind, this is not a solution.
